Sign on screen focus issue

When presented with the sign on screen I need to click in the user field 2 or 3 times before I can enter an ID. As this is a 'sign-on' screen, why not shift the focus automatically to the place needed?

Add adults & children to "today's performance" widget

For the today's performance widget on the dashboard, would like to see the number of adults and children arriving each day
