There are so many things that are not up to scratch with the Cloud version of roomMaster. It is so frustrating and cumbersome to use.
*We have no access to backups.
*I'm not convinced the platform is secure as it's shared with a bunch of other properties, and any support staff can access our system whenever they want, without permission nor notice.
*Printing is cumbersome and annoying.
*It is cumbersome and difficult to use, requiring the user to constantly switch back and forth between using the Keyboard and the Mouse.
*Invoice cannot even be printed from the system (in our case). We have to resort to printing them from within ownCloud, or send it to ourselves in and email and print it from there.
*can no longer accept CASH as we cannot open the cash drawer
Whilst we admit it has not always been the case, we have invested in a top notch server, and have excellent redundancy plans in place whereby the entire VM is backed up hourly to a NAS in the next building, and daily to a cloud service, and we can access any one of those backups in seconds, with backups going right back to December 2023.
roomMaster Cloud is a MAJOR STEP IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!
roomMaster Cloud is not a reliable option when we still experience internet outages across South Australia.
