when you log in, if you have a new Unread Message in your mailbox. It should come up with a Pop-up box as soon as you sign in, saying you have a New Message.
This used to do this before in Old Room master, but icloud version does not do it.
This also should be a simple fix, why can't we have a alert screen popping up when we sign in making us aware we have new massages. Waiting for longer than a year
